Batara Group Participates in IndoBuildTech 2025

To introduce its products to a wider audience, Batara Group is participating in IndoBuildTech 2025, which runs until July 6, 2025.

Among the products showcased at the exhibition is a turbine ventilator that can be used in minimalist homes. However, Reissa Siregar, Commercial Director of Batara Group, explained that not many homeowners are currently using turbine ventilators in residential properties. Therefore, the company aims to educate the public that this product can be effectively used in minimalist homes.

Reissa explained that the product is capable of reducing indoor temperatures by approximately 2 to 3 degrees Celsius and is more energy-efficient because it operates without electricity, relying solely on wind power.

"For minimalist homes, customers can choose the smaller 14-inch model. It can even be painted according to the homeowner’s preferences and needs to enhance the overall aesthetics," Reissa added.

She further explained that a single 14-inch turbine ventilator can cover approximately 100 square meters of residential space.

From a Small Building Materials Store

Daniel Surya Tandi, representing the second generation of Batara Group leadership, also shared the story of how Batara Group began from a small store established by his father.

His father, Longtjing Tandi, is a successful entrepreneur who has spent many years in the building materials distribution industry.

Batara Group originally started as a building materials store called Toko Batara, located on Jalan Pinangsia in Central Jakarta.

"At first, the store established by my parents was very small. Over time, it attracted many customers and became well known among contractors, which allowed the business to continue growing," said Daniel Surya Tandi.

As the business developed, Longtjing Tandi established a gypsum board manufacturing company called Thai Gypsum, which was later acquired by a global company based in Thailand.

Meanwhile, Toko Batara continues to operate and serve customers today, while the business has expanded significantly under the Batara Surya Semesta banner, focusing on the distribution of high-quality imported building materials.

"To date, Batara Group has distribution centers in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Greater Jakarta), and Semarang (Central Java), serving customers throughout Indonesia," Reissa added.
